- Provide reference assistance to the Richland community (credit students, continuing education/workforce training students, RCHS students, faculty, staff, and community users) 66.5 hours per week.
- Provide reference statistics to the Library Director.
- Develop point-of-use help sheets to assist library users.
- Read reviews of new reference resources and provide input to the Collection Development librarian on new resources to acquire
- Participate in the DCCCD Libraries Reference Group decisions for acquisitions of electronic reference resources
- Post help sheets to the Library Web site
- Create list of new books and post to the Library Web site monthly
- Maintain election information Web page on Library Web site
- Update Library Web site
- Collaborate with RCHS to assign a reference librarian to each high school student
- Maintain lists of ESOL books for appropriate fiction, non-fiction, academic skills, dictionaries, essays, Newberys, Caldecotts, and biographies
- Prepare monthly reference reports for the Library Director
