One of the techniques that most bloggers use to stay efficient and streamlined is to use a little applet that allows them to quickly post a link to their blog, so they can spend their time writing thoughtful commentary rather than typing in URL's and HTML code.
This link will show you how to add the applet to your browser. Having done so all you do is navigate to the page you want to post and click on the applet.

This way it is possible to incorporate helpful links right inside the blog itself.
What I'm going to do next -- partly just as a demonstration -- is to search for the best site I can find on SWOT analysis and post a link with some commentary.

E-mail to Blog Feature
To reiterate... It is now possible to send posts to the blog by sending an e-mail to the following address: garyduke.8librarians@blogger.com.
The downside may be that the labels don't get attached. I'll investigate more as time permits and confirm whether or not that is possible.

Blogger Posts Go to E-mail
If you receive this post in your e-mail, it means the the new feature I added is working.
Henceforth, when anyone creates a post on the blog, it will simultaneously be sent to a n e-mail address that is linked to 8RLLIB on Groupwise.
To summarize: 1) You don't need to do anything special. Just post to the blog and the post will show up in our Groupwise e-mail. 2) If you read your e-mail you'll be seeing all the blog posts without actually having to go to the blog itself. 3)If you wish to send an e-mail to 8RLLIB using your Gmail or Yahoo accounts, you can now do so. How to Get Started with Blogging
Here's a brief screencast I did for the Environmental Ministry Committee blog at my church. Of course, you'll need your speakers on when you view it. As I recall, it's only about 4 minutes and it MAY help you get a grasp on all this ... if you haven't done it before. Notice that I've created a label "blogsavvy" which we can use to include notes to help us with the blog itself (as opposed to what the blog is actually about).
